The Tourabout team had a great night at the Council of Australian Tour Operators AGM and dinner last night. CATO represents and works for tour operators with the industry and govt and as a member we are fortunate to be able to work with some these talented travellers and travel operators.
The AGM heard from Simon Westbury the head of Australian Federation of Travel Agents (AFTA) where a number of current industry developments & issues were discussed.
Also we from Greg Moriarty – First Assistant Secretary – Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade (DFAT) on a range of items from traveller number to travel advisories which I’m distilling my notes for a specific post of something that is very important - especially if you were in Mumbai during recent terrorist events.
All in all it was a great night where we had the chance to catch up with peers and other industry thought leaders to discuss a wide range of developments and opportunites and I look forward to the coming meetings.
