If you have ever doubted the strength of an airline engine and it's capacity to suck in you, me and your little dog too see what happens when a cargo box full of luggage gets too close to the business end of a 747 jet engine. Qantas will reduce its domestic fuel surcharges by up to $5 for all tickets issued from today. The surcharge for Qantas and QantasLink services will fall from $26 to $21, while for QantasLink turboprop services it will fall from $24 to $21. Source: Travel today

Pacific Blue started flights from Sydney to Auckland today expanding on the current services running from Melbourne to Auckland. Nine flights a week will be operated from Sydney by the carrier on Boeing 737-800’s.
